Late Summer Break + New Videos on Punchpass

August vacation and schedule changes, pop-up (make-up) classes and new class videos in the content library!

Have you noticed the light is changing and it’s getting darker earlier? I do have to say that I love the fall season with its cooler temperatures and (hopefully) cleaner air.

I am preparing for my last big mountaineering trip of the summer – this one is a little bit further away and therefore a bit longer. During my absence from Zoom, I hope you will enjoy the videos I have prepared for you, take a break and rest, and/or join in with other Kaiut classes. You can preview the class descriptions from the August 2021 playlist below. Happy summer everybody! Can you believe it’s already August??!!

1) August-September Schedule Changes and Pop-Ups

There will be no Zoom classes between Thursday Aug. 26 – Saturday Sep. 4 because I will be out of town. The regular Zoom class schedule will resume on Monday, Sep. 6.

August-September Pop-Up Classes:

Fri. 9/10, 10:30-11:30am Zoom

Fri. 9/10, 4:30pm in person/Zoom at Kaiut Yoga Boulder (sub for Megan)

2) Punchpass Content Library

Access to the Punchpass content library (35 and growing!) is included with any Monthly Unlimited Class Pass, or by special request. It’s quite easy to use, just like watching a YouTube video.

Here is a preview of the new classes in the August 2021 playlist.

Class 10: We approach feet, ankles, knees, and hips – and even the shoulder girdle in a unique way! – cleaning up rigidity in the entire system and reenforcing the concept of safety. Have lots of support, including a bolster or 2, a strap, and a wall. I also show chair work in this class if sitting or kneeling on the floor is not available.

Class 13: This is a slightly shorter, faster class – a good one to practice on days you have less energy or less time. It’s very simple, but also very profound and gives us access to the concept of JOINTFULNESS. The focus is on ankles, feet and legs, integrated with the balance center and peripheral vision. Have some space at the wall, a bolster or 2, and possibly a chair.

Class 17: Have some pillows/bolsters, a belt, and possibly a chair if knees or hips are more sensitive. There is a lot of variety in this class, and the work to be found is not necessarily what you would think given the shapes! Feet, legs, hips and spine all benefit.

Class 19: Dissolving rigidity leads to more fluidity and confidence in movements coming up and down from the floor and utilizing the balance center. We approach feet, ankles, legs and hips in this class in seated, standing and kneeling postures. Have lots of support: bolster or 2, belt, and possibly a chair.

Class 50: Variety variety variety!!! I recorded this class by special request after some students commented that they really needed this kind of work. Remember that having an adaptive and resilient nervous system is always more important than the things we do physically! This is a slightly longer class, and you can easily practice it in halves. Have a few different sized bolsters/pillows, 2 sturdy blocks/books, and possibly a chair if you have more sensitive knees or hips. We will be seated, kneeling, standing, and lying on the floor facing up and facing down, all the while approaching the feet and toes to wake up the skin and neurological connections, stimulate the balance center, and provide structure and tone to the entire leg and pelvic structure.

NEW OFFER: I am now offering 2 months of Video-Only access for $160, the price of the regular monthly class pass. Purchase this new class pass here

3) Kaiut Yoga Boulder classes

I am continuing to teach in-person (and on Zoom) at Kaiut Yoga Boulder on Wednesday’s 6pm. To register for classes at Kaiut Yoga Boulder, you will need to create an MBO account and purchase a pass with them. You can do a 5 class package for $100 with no expiration, and that can work for Zoom classes as well. (You might not see this as an option on their website, but we can do it for you.)

Thank you all for being here!

Warmly, Michelle
